Role Summary – Why This Role Matters
This is a pivotal role in a newly formed team at the heart of shaping the future of electricity transmission. The Asset Risk Engineer will play a key role developing and maintaining complex asset risk models that underpin our understanding of network risk. These models are essential for assessing long-term asset health, forecasting risk, and supporting strategic investment decisions. This role offers the opportunity to work across departments, contribute to the evolution of our risk frameworks, and help systematise a whole-network view of asset risk. What You’ll Bring – Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Experience in developing and maintaining risk models, managing large datasets, within the utilities or infrastructure sector to support strategic asset management decision-making
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB, with some appreciation of using cloud-based environments and digital platforms to support scalable data processing and model deployment solutions
- Ability to proactively develop complex risk models that generate outputs to supports decision-making, supported by experience in data analysis and statistical techniques
- Working knowledge of asset management decision making principles, performance metrics, and risk assessment methodologies (e.g. Network Asset Risk Metric Methodology)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to work both independently and collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams

What You'll Get
A competitive starting salary between £54,090.00 – £63,940.00 dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
