At National Grid Electricity Transmission, we’re looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Framework Engineer to join our Asset Management Frameworks team. This is your opportunity to play a key role in simplifying, standardising, and digitising the frameworks that govern how we manage our critical infrastructure.

 

We’re looking for Lead Framework Engineer to join out Asset Management Framework Team! You’ll be part of a team that’s central to our journey to Net Zero, developing innovative tools and techniques that shape the future of asset management across the electricity transmission network.

 

This role is based out of our Warwick office, and we’d hope to see you at least two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!

What You'll Do

  • Supporting the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of asset management frameworks that guide how we manage our assets.
  • Ensuring frameworks are effective, efficient, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading to the development and implementation of new asset management initiatives aligned with our strategic objectives.
  • Keep abreast of internal & external changes within areas of expertise to lead ongoing improvement and adoption of better practices utilising international benchmarking information.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to benchmark and influence and shape the future of the electricity network.

What You'll Have

  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Business.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills – essential for tackling complex challenges and turning innovative ideas into reality.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the business and wider energy industry.
  • A collaborative mindset – teamwork is key as you’ll work across diverse projects and disciplines.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the asset management system, including business drivers & planning requirements.
  • Communicate complex issues associated with areas of expertise in a clear and concise manner both verbally & in writing.
  • Experience of implementing technical industry change as a result of involvement in internal and external working groups.

What You'll Get

Salary range between £62,000 - £72,000 dependent on experience.
