As a Community Engagement and Investment Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding communities through the exciting clean energy transition! You'll build strong relationships with community stakeholders, harnessing corporate resources like volunteerism and funding to create impactful, community-driven programs. Tackling the challenges and seizing the opportunities that come with the shift to clean energy, you will lead crisis response efforts during energy disruptions, ensuring that everyone has equitable access to the benefits of this transformation. This role will be based out of our Warwick or Castle Donnington office, and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute strategies to support communities in the clean energy transition.
- Collaborate with the Social Impact & Community Engagement team on affordability initiatives aligned with social impact goals.
- Manage performance and budgets of programs that assist communities during the clean energy transition.
- Engage with regulatory bodies community leaders and policymakers to promote best practices and implement energy affordability and clean energy transition policies.
- Develop metrics and implement systems for evaluating program effectiveness and compliance, collaborating with other teams to optimize resource use and track program outcomes
- Prepare updates and reports for senior leadership on program performance and risks.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend program enhancements.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders, facilitate knowledge sharing across teams and represent National Grid at relevant events.
What You’ll Have:
- Proven experience in program /project management, social impact initiatives, or clean energy, preferably within the energy, utilities or community support charity sector.
- A strong understanding of clean energy issues, regulatory frameworks, and best practices in community engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines

What You’ll Get:
Up to £71,000 dependent on experience.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance with an on target of 15% (maximum 30%) and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
